We’re Andrew and Karly Braun, owners of Break Through Events.
In 2006,Andrew's father, Cole Braun started GLM/RACC. At the time I (Andrew) was an equipment guy dragging barricades and cones around managing the race courses. In 2015, Cole sold the company to my younger brother, Craig Braun, where he rebranded to Lighthouse Events and now it is our turn to take the helm of the “family business.”

We are long time endurance athletes. Karly was a D1 rower for Oregon State and I ran D3 cross country at Concordia University Wisconsin. Shortly after our collegiate careers ended we found our own way to endurance sports. I jumped right into the triathlon world competing in 5 full Ironmans, a handful of Half Ironmans and a bunch of sprint/olympic distance tris including a trip to USAT Age Group Nationals in Vermont. Karly found a love for distance running primarily on the trails with her largest event being a 50K in Tennessee. When we finally crossed paths in 2018 it happened to be while spectating Ironman Wisconsin. From there the rest is history, we were married in 2020 and both competed in Ironman Wisconsin together in 2021! Which was Karly's first ever Triathlon, talk about going big or going home!

We love the endurance sports community and are so excited to be hosting events by racers for racers!
